The main material of the hot stamping process is anodized aluminum, so it can also be called anodized aluminum hot stamping. The principle is to transfer the aluminum layer in the anodized aluminum to the substrate using hot-press transfer. So the basic process is that, under the pressure, the anodized aluminum is heated to melt the hot-melt silicone resin layer and the adhesive. At this time, the viscosity of the silicone resin will become smaller, so that the aluminum layer and the anodized aluminum lonely glass can be transferred to the substrate at the same time. Finally, as the pressure is removed, the adhesive cools quickly, which is a hot stamping process.

Because of the improvement of the material level, there is naturally a difference between high quality and traditional hot stamping. At present, the main bronzing is still based on high quality. Therefore, when we make hot stamping plates, we mainly adopt photographic corrosion technology and electronic engraving technology. The materials used are usually magnesium plate, copper plate or zinc plate. Because the magnesium plate and the copper plate have fine materials, the surface finish and heat transfer effect are better than those of the zinc plate, so the use of high-quality magnesium plate can improve the gloss of the bronzing graphic and the definition of the outline. However, the traditional photographic corrosion technology is simple and low-cost to make hot stamping plates, which are mainly used for text, thick lines, and general images; for finer, uneven thickness of pictures and texts, the hot stamping plate needs to be damaged twice or electric engraving technology.
